Cambria House was built in the latter part of the 1800’s. Native timbers were used to build the house including rimu, kauri and heart matai. The slates that are still on the house originally came from England. Over the years many alterations and improvements have been made. In doing so effort has been made to stay in keeping with the original building.

Today Cambria is a beautifully restored homestead. The old fireplaces, panelling and original doors have been combined with modern luxuries such as ensuite bathrooms for all seven guest bedrooms, tasteful furnishings and top quality beds (with cotton linen, feather pillows, snug duvets and extra woollen blankets).
