Guests just love to step out from the grandeur of the manor house onto the farm to enjoy a taste of rural kiwi life. The dogs are always a great hit and love to be taken for walks on the farm where you will find horses, donkeys, sheep, pet pigs and other special breeds grazing. Back in the manor a grand second floor balcony opens out from the lounge and is the perfect spot to relax and soak up the lake views. In the cooler months, the open fire in the lounge provides a homely place to unwind.

Lodge chef Stefan creates select menus that continue to delight diners. The superb country style cuisine is complemented by a select range of New Zealand wines that have been hand-picked by the owners. The Lodge is ideal for independent travellers, small groups or as an exclusive hire venue for conferences, weddings and special functions. On site facilities include restaurant, rimu bar and billiards room, conference room, library, tennis court, swimming pool, and barbecue area.
